Each artist's practice investigates art historical legacies within a contemporary framework through divergent working methods, concerns & materials.

Reconfiguring common, industrial and often found materials, Bettina Buck is interested in the inherent precariousness of stuff. Through her practice she questions notions of perception and representation whilst re-interpreting sculptural techniques and their history.

Similarly Michael Samuels uses materials with evidence of an alternative existence. His practice can be characterised as a form of contemporary bricolage, which utlises industrially produced Modernist furniture and light. Elements such as cabinets, tables and sideboards are liberated from their traditional role, cut up and reconfigured into structures that no longer have a utilitarian purpose.

Conrad Ventur is a multimedia artist whose projects are concerned with notions of re-performance, quotation, memory and nostalgia. In a recently completed volume of work, Ventur has restaged 13 of Warhol's 'Screen Tests'. Using the original 'underground' subjects such as John Giorno, Mary Woronov, Taylor Mead and Mario Montez each character re-performs their own Screen Tests creating an installation of new films that serve as 'quotations' of Warhol's original recordings.
